3 February 2008:  We have a new look to website to take advantage of the 1024 format.  Hopefully you like it.  The information present is the same as before, just a new look.

1 February 2008:  Our next meeting will take place at New Frontiers on Friday, April 4th at 6:30 pm. New Frontiers is located at 896 Foothill Blvd. Ph. 805 785.0194. There will be lots of Gluten-Free food samples, food provided by New Frontiers, a tour to the facility, and many more surprises, including some Easter goodies for the kids. A meeting you don’t want to miss! Please RSVP to Either Betty or Isabella since the management at New Frontiers would like to accommodate all of us properly.

1 February 2008:  Great meeting again tonight.  A big thank you to Deborah Masullo, owner of Doughboy’s pizza, for attending our meeting, for her support to the celiac community, and for her thoughtful donation of exquisite gourmet pizzas.

7 January 2008:  Happy New Year to all!  Another year and hopefully we get closer to spreading the word even better than last on the underestimated effects of CD.  Thanks to all that helped make last year wonderful and thanks in advance for your efforts this coming year.

4 August 2007: We had a good turn out at last night's meeting where we sampled desserts and talked the latest findings in food products.  Also a special thanks to Sejal Hall, a Ph.D candidate from UCSB that attended our meeting. 2 June 2007:  Many thanks to those businesses that donated food samples to CCC at the last CDF Conference.   This includes Whole Foods and Crave among others!

2 June 2007:  Interesting website statistics...Since the first of the year the website has been visited by the following countries: Canada, Germany, Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Spain, Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, Argentina, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Malaysia, Romania, and Turkey.  This really does show that Celiac Disease is truely a global concern.

2 June 2007:  Great participation last night during our June meeting.  Two new members added to our already strong group.  A review of the recent CDF Conference consumed most of the time but it was always great to see familar faces!  Please pass on any new restaurant, stores or recipes for posting to the website.  Recent research shows that the "Restaurants" page on our website is the most popular.

2 June 2007:  The August 3rd meeting has been moved to Isabella's house for a "Dessert Favorites" Coffee and Tea party.  The time will be the same (6:30pm) and please RSVP and to call for directions.

14 April 2007:  Don't forget to send us your suggestions for stores and restaurants in the local area that offer gluten-free options.  We really want to expand this area so as to provide a service to our members or to others travelling through our beautiful area.

14 April 2007:  First of all, it was wonderful having all of you last weekend for our Easter Pancake Brunch. Thanks to everyone for bringing pancake toppings, dishes, Easter eggs, etc. All of you were not only good company, but great help! My special thanks to Leona for taking care of the pancakes and doing a wonderful job. Also, thanks for the awesome job cleaning up afterwards, everybody!  I hope that you all enjoyed the food, the children, and the company as much as our family did.

11 March 2007:  Mark your calendars for the CCC Easter Pancake Brunch in San Luis Obispo hosted by Isabella Porter.  The brunch, starting at 11am on Saturday, April 7th will have an easter egg hunt for children and adults!  Please bring your favorite pancake topping.  Additional easter eggs and gluten-free brunch food welcome.  RSVP to Isabella (541-3360) or Betty (473-8415) for directions and the number of people attending.  Hope to see you there!

11 March 2007:  Dr. Peter Green, Director of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University, will be a guest on The View, a national daytime talk show on ABC-TV with hosts Rosie O’Donnell, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck!  The episode will air locally on Channel 3 on Wednesday, March 14th at 10am EST.

Central Coast Celiacs is proud to have completed their third year of helping to inform and educate others with Celiac Disease, Dermatitis Herpetiformus, and Gluten Intolerance. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. Without your generous donations we could not have our meetings or produce our wonderful Newsletter.  If you missed our Second Annual Holiday Party in December, you missed another good one.  Some of you voiced that you had other commitments during the month of December and especially on the first weekend.
